The collection is a photographic depiction of the typical look and disposition of the young girl from the Yoruba cum African cultural background, emphasising naturality and simplicity as attributes which characterise the essence of beauty in precolonial & early post colonial Yoruba society.

Central to the theme of the project is the showcase of indigenous hairstyles which are made with the natural hair-a culture which is fast being forgotten.
